Where do I set my subwoofer's phase angle?
- The phase adjustment is to compensate for variances in
placement between the main speaker woofers and the subwoofer.
- If the main speakers and the subwoofer are at about the
same distance to the seated position, set the phase to 0.
- If the main speakers are small satellite type cubes (very
small woofers that will not be interfering at all with the subwoofer),
set
the phase to 0.
- If you have larger main speakers and the subwoofer is in a
hidden
or remote location, test each setting to see what sounds best.
You want to use a repetitive bass line i.e. "Welcome to the
Machine" -
Pink Floyd and listen for a more enveloping or "fuller" sound from
those frequencies as you make your adjustments.
